Arguably the best regional map made at the time, with incredible accuracy for wagon roads, towns, topography, made by US Army Lieut. George M. Wheeler. This early map shows country spanning for northern New Mexico from Arroyo Hondo in the lower right corner to north of Culebra in the upper right, west to the Continental Divide on the left side of the map. Great reference with fascinating detail for settlement (notes “cattle ranch”) and development (road “To Ft Garland 35.27mi.”). Condition good, with minor supportive repair
